What is the time commitment?

There are four parts to the program: 1) a one-hour training video once a week; 2) a 45-minute group call once a week; 3) 10-15 minutes per day engaged in micro-learning modules (2-3 minutes each); 4) two 60-minute 1:1 coaching calls. With the exception of the group calls, you can do these pieces when it fits your schedule. The program lasts for 8 weeks.

If you need to miss one of the group calls, that's fine. If you think you’ll miss more than one, it’s probably best to join a later cohort.

When will I notice a difference?

If you’re diligent about following the program, you should start to see changes within the first 2-3 weeks. Of course, there’s so much else to learn — even after the 8-week program is finished. And it may be that others notice the changes before you do.

I’ve got my sh*t together. Why do I need this?

Everyone has blindspots in their thinking, behavior, and how they are being perceived by others. The more you know about yourself, the better able you’ll be to navigate the tricky and challenging paths we all face.

Isn’t stress good for me?

Only in short bursts. Chronic stress, or thinking that you can only be successful if you are stressed, actually limits your success and threatens your health. In addition, if stress is your default mode, you are impacting the effectiveness and health of those around you, as well.

Should I do this with my partner, or my team at work?

That’s a great idea, whether they do this at the same time as you or in a separate cohort. There's incredible value in having a common language and shared experience about how to identify negative reactions and perspectives, and having the tools and shared accountability to select more effective and focused paths.

Is this like “toxic positivity”?

No, it's very different. Toxic positivity is present when someone feels they have to be positive in the face of any situation, often in irrational and even frantic ways.
